Our route starts by driving to Cho-Oyu Base Camp crossing the Nepalese Border into Tibet and continuing via Nyalam and Tingri. The route to Base Camp involves a drive at high altitude with powerful views of Cho – Oyu (8201m) to the north. This exciting drive also rewards with views of glaciers surrounded by the unforgettable presence of the worlds mightiest mountains. Normally we set up four camps in the approach excluding Advanced Base Camp. Thereafter starts our main attempt to scale the summit (8201m).
OUTLINE ITINERARY
- Day 1-2 Arrive Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel De l’ Annapurna (5*).
- Day 3-4 Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu. Necessary preparations for the expedition.
- Day 5 Drive form Kathmandu – Zhangmu.
- Day 6 Drive to Nyalam.
- Day 7 Drive to Tingri.
- Day 8 Drive to Cho – Oyu Base Camp.
- Day 9 Trek to Acclimatisation Camp (Base Camp).
- Day 10 Base Camp- Advanced Base Camp.
- Day 11 Acclimatisation (Advanced Base Camp).
- Day 12-37 Climbing Period.
- Day 38 Return to Advanced Base Camp.
- Day 39 Return to Base Camp.
- Day 40 Drive to Zhangmu.
- Day 41 Zhangmu – Kathmandu.
- Day 42-44 Free day in Kathmandu .
- Day 45 Return to home country.
